Dusko Ivanovic, BC Khimki head coach:
“We didn't start this game well. VEF started it very well. We had many mistakes in defense but when Rowland began to play we took a good rhythm both in defense and offense. Finally, we deserved this win. It was very important [to win], because now we are fighting for a better position before play-offs. It's true that the first game in Khimki VEF played very well and we lost. Maybe this was one more impulse for us to win tonight. I think many players played well, not only Todorovic and Hummel. It was also important to take to automatism our system as offensively as defensively. I can't but say about Blums' excellent game. He played for me in Panathinaikos and I know his skills. Tonight he did an excellent job, however, as always”.
E.J. Rowland, BC Khimki guard:
“They've came up playing well. Blums really got going and we really had to focus on defense because he was hitting tough shots. Other guys were playing comfortable and getting offensive rebounds. I think once we've adjusted and made some adjustments, we started to play like we wanted to. Thus we got a lead and kept going. As for me, I was fine. Sometimes even when you watch film on a team and then start a game you have to adjust to how they play. With their offensive rebounding, with how Blums was coming off the screens you had to get used to how did he shoot these shots. He was making some more and it's tough to defend [on him]. He scored a lot of points but we made our adjustments, regardless how we had to play. It will be cool to play with VEF in the play-offs. I've good feelings coming back to this arena and this city. But obviously, they have to worry about themselves and we have to worry about ourselves”.
