One of the world's great basketball hotbeds, the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius, will usher in the new 2013-14 season with a bang by hosting the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Qualifying Rounds next October. The qualifying rounds features eight aspirants playing single-elimination games over four days until a single winner claims the 24th and last spot in the 2013-14 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Regular Season.

A new era of Eurocup expansion in terms of participation, quantity of games and geographical reach started today with the announcement of the teams that will fill the competition's 2013-14 regular season groups. The list consists of 41 teams who will be joined by seven more in late October, following their participation in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Qualifying Rounds, for a total of 48 competing in the Eurocup Regular Season.

Great season indeed as he was voted to All-Russian PBL Honorable Mention and All-Bosmans Team. He also played 10 games in Eurocup where he averaged 11.8ppg, 5.0rpg and 2.6apg. Kaimakoglou also played 17 games in VTB United League where he averaged 12.6ppg, 5.4rpg, 2.1apg and 1.7spg. He helped them to make it to the quarterfinals.

Panathinaikos Athens reached a new agreement with big man Stephane Lasme to keep working together until the end of the 2014-15 season, the club announced Monday. Lasme (2.03 meters, 31 years old) averaged 10 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in 28 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games last season.
