30 novemberTop-16 calling

On November 29, 2012 two Russian clubs played games in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague week 8 and succeeded. BC Khimki Moscow Region at home crushed Mapooro Cantu (Itlay) and due to the victory of Panathinaikos (Greece) over Olimpija Ljubljana (Slovenia) guaranteed the entrance to the Top-16. CSKA Moscow on the road faced Brose Baskets Bamberg (Germany) and also won. The Amry team qualified to the Top-16 couple of weeks ago.

For the fourth consecutive season, Turkish Airlines Euroleague stars are sharing the center-court spotlight with Special Olympics athletes before games being played all over the continent this week and next. Special Olympics is the newest partner in Euroleague Basketball’s groundbreaking One Team corporate social responsibility programme.

On November 28, 2012 five Russian clubs played another games in European cups. BC Triumph Lyubertsy, UNICS Kazan and BC Spartak St Petersburg won their Eurocup matches, BC Krasnye Krylia succeeded in EuroChallenge. Unfortunately PBC Lokomotuv-Kuban was swat away in the road by Galatasaray Medical Park.

26 novemberKhimki's lit up

On Monday, November 26, 2012 BC Khimki Moscow Region at its home court hosted BC Spartak-Primorye and scored a very confident victory. First half was equal, after the BC Khimki run 7-0 Primorye recovered and made a return spurt. Nevertheless after a big break Kurtinaitis's squad took a lead and didn't relax till the end of the game. As a result — a deserved win. Fridzon scored 17 points, Rivers — 16 and 6 rebounds. In BC Spartak-Primorye Efevberha added 21 points.

25 novemberKarasev's best

In the PBL Championship game, held in Lyubertsy on Sunday, November 25, 2012 BC Triumph hosted BC Spartak St Petersburg and won in a bitter struggle. The decisive throw was done by Sergey Karasev before 0.2 seconds to the buzzer. Karasev turned to be the best scorer of the match: 18 points. Now Triumph has 3 wins and 3 losses in PBL standings and ranks at six place. Spartak has a 4-3 record and occupies fifth place.

25 novemberMoscow conquers Kazan

On November 25, 2012 within the bounds of PBL Championship UNICS in Kazan played with the current Russian champion CSKA Moscow. The guests got the leadership from the beginning of the game and didn't give initiative to the opponent. As a result — a confident victory of the Army team and no losses in the PBL standings. As for UNICS it has only 1 win and 4 losses now.

24 novemberReal but not now

On November 23, 2012 BC Khimki Moscow Region faced on the road one of the best European teams of Real Madrid in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague and suffered a defeat with the score 81:104. The biggest impact to the Real's success added Rudy Fernandez (23 points) and Nikola Mirotic (17 points). In BC Khimki Monya scored 19 points, Fridzon — 17, Planinic — 15 and 6 assists.

23 novemberSerbian partisans fell

On November 22, 2012 within the bounds of Turkish Airlines Euroleague game 7 PBC CSKA at its home court without any problems defeated Partizan mt:s Belgrade with the score 78:61 and entered TOP-16. Weems, Vorontsevich, Christmas and Khryapa mostly contributed to the overall success.

23 novemberDesperate fight

In a VTB United League match (the result of the game takes into account of PBL championship) BC Enisey Krasnoyarsk hosted BC Nizhniy Novgorod and in a desperate fight suffered a painful defeat with the minimal margin. Primoz Brezec added 17 points and 9 rebounds, Semen Antonov replenished 12 points and 5 rebounds. Petr Gubanov in the home team scored 21 points and rebounded 8 boards. Zabian Dowdell gained 15 points. Final score — 62:67.

22 novemberAgain no problems

On November 21, 2012 four Russian clubs played Eurocup regular season week 3 games and succeeded. Spartak St Petersburg swat away Ratiopharm Ulm, PBC Lokomotiv-Kuban destroyed Galatasaray Medical Park, UNICS Kazan on the road defeated Panionios BC Athens and BC Triumph Lyubertsy left no chances to VEF Riga.
