BC Khimki returned home 6 september 2011

Yesterday evening BC Khimki returned from Slovenia. On Thursday morning Rimas Kurtinaitis and the players of our team will go to the final preseason preparations — to Spain.

— I am pleased with the passed preseason preparations, — BC Khimki head coach Rimas Kurtinaitis said. — All guys worked at their full potential. We were joined by several main players. Egor Vyaltsev is at good physical shape now, as for a long time he had practice with the Russian national team. He has a very high basketball IQ, so he merged into our team easily.

As for Langford, this summer he had a course of rehabilitation after his injury. Thank God, now he does not feel any pain and works a lot, along with his teammates.

Quinn joined us in a great shape — obviously he looked after himself this summer, had a lot of run. With the advent of Chris, our team has added in speed and tactical thinking.

During preparations we had 3 games, all with very good opponents — with Helios, EuroChallenge Cup winner Krka, as well as the Euroleague club Union Olimpija. We beat Olimpija confidently, even finishing the game with all the players of youth team. And I liked the energy with which young guys played.

Thursday morning we fly to Spain, where Thomas Kelati will join us.

Preseason preparations in Spain will last for 12 days and ends on September 20. Then our team will come back to Khimki, where we will prepare for the upcoming Euroleague Qualifications (September 29 — October 2).
