7Days EuroCup
Valencia Basket center Slava Kravtsov is set to miss at least the next 7DAYS EuroCup Quarterfinals game due to a broken toe in his left foot, the club announced on Wednesday.
Kravtsov (2.13 meters, 29 years old) went down early in Game 1 of the quarterfinals against Khimki Moscow Region, and although he could not come back to the floor, Valencia won 88-82. Despite playing just 3 minutes, Kravtsov had 2 points and 2 offensive rebounds, helping Valencia set a new EuroCup record with 27 offensive boards. He has averaged 7.8 points and 3.8 rebounds while leading the 2016-17 EuroCup in two-point shooting percentage (39-of-50, 78%). Likewise, Valencia announced that piont guard Antoine Diot, who missed Game 1 with a foot injury, will be sidelined for the re-match, as well. Valencia faces Khimki in Game 2 of their best-of-three quarterfinal series on Friday.
