PBC CSKA
French guard Leo Westermann (24 y.o., 197 cm) signed “1+1” contract with our club.
Westermann had a great season in Zalgiris where he played the main creative role despite constant switches between point guard and shooting guard duties. Leo played in all 30 EuroLeague games (27 starts) averaging 8.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 5.5 assists (8th in the league) and 0.5 steals in 25.2 minutes. It is interesting that the Frenchman played one of his best games on the winning for the Greens night in Kaunas, when Leo had his personal best in assists and had a double-double (10 points, 10 rebounds). His stats in Lithuanian League – 6.7 points, 2.8 rebouns, 3.9 assists, 0.8 steals, 20.8 minutes.

The Army Men newcomer started his pro career in Asvel Villerbann in young age. He debuted in EuroLeague with Partizan Belgrade in 2012. He got serious injury in 2013, needed almost a year to rehab, signed contract with Barcelona and was rented to Limoges where he played until his move to Kaunas. He won Serbian, Adriatic, French and Lithuanian League titles, 2015 Eurobasket bronze, “junior” European Championships’ medals.

Dimitris Itoudis, CSKA head coach:
We are welcoming the player who proved that he can play both point guard and shooting guard positions. He has size and knowledge to create situations for himself and his partners on highest level. Leo is motivated and thrilled to play for us. I wish him to be healthy and good lcuk in CSKA uniform.
