Zenit St. Petersburg added a new player to its backcourt by inking point guard Scottie Reynolds to a one-year deal, the club announced Sunday.
Reynolds (1.88 meters, 29 years old) arrives from Cibona Zagreb, where he averaged 8.1 pointsm 3.2 rebounds and 5.6 assists in 21 Croatian League games last season, helping his team reach the final. He did even better in the Adriatic League, averaging 10.8 points and a competition-best 6.9 assists in 18 games. Reynolds started his career with Prima Veroli of Italy and has also played for Springfield of the D-League, CDP Domingo Paulino Santiago of the Dominican Republic, Talk N Text Tropang Texters of Philippines, Antalya Buyuksehir Belediye and Besiktas Istanbul of Turkey, Enel Brindisi of Italy, CEZ Basketball Nymburk of the Czech Republic, Hapoel Holon of Israel and Krasnie Krilya Samara of Russia. Zenit will be his fourth EuroCup team — Reynolds previously played the competition with Nymburk, Besiktas and Brindisi, averaging 8.8 points and 4.3 assists in 11 games.
