In interview to Russian sports daily “Sovetsky sport” Vitalyi Fridzon said, that the formal invitation to the All-Star Game became a surprise for him. But in Athens he wasn’t lost.

— I am impressed by this match. Greeks know how to organize a basketball holiday. As if it were the All-Star Game in NBA.

You became one of the best players in your team
— It was only the show! Our coach Carlo Recalcati (he is the Italian team head coach) said that we should get into the court and take the delight playing basketball.

When have you received the formal invitation?
— The 25th of June. I accepted it without hesitation.

Even the hot weather in Athens didn’t scare you?
— I would go to Athens in hotter weather. If you said to me two years later, that I would take part in such game, I should think that you were mad. At that time I didn’t believe that would play in Superleague A. And now…Athens!

What are yours plans?
— I want to stay at home with my parents and friends and to relax.
