Egor Vyaltsev is called for Russian National team 1 july 2011

BC Khimki freshman Egor Vyaltsev is called for the second preparation meeting of National team.
Egor has experience in playing for Russian squad: in 2009 he took part in EuroBasket in Poland.

— About my calling to the second preparation meeting I learned from the general manager of the Russian national team Oleg Ushakov, — said Egor Vyaltsev. — He called me and said that David Blatt wants me to see in the team. Of course, I immediately responded and went to the training. Had a talk with the head coach, he said that I had a good season and I would have chances to be a part of the final squad. I thanked him. Surely, mr. Blatt did not guarantee or promise me anything, because only due to diligence and hard work I will be able to prove my attitude to the very matter. I consider it an honour to defend the colors of a national team, to play for my country, so I was very happy to communicate with mr. Blatt. How do I feel now? In general, I feel good, started to train, go to the gym. Because of this my calling my plans have changed, but I'm ready to sacrifice everything to play for Russian team.

The second preparation meeting of the Russian national basketball team begins on July 18. Besides Egor Vyaltsev five BC Khimki players are called for national team: Vitaly Fridzon, Sergey Monya, Alexey Zhukanenko. Dmitry Khvostov and Vyacheslav Zaytsev — to the first preparation meeting.
