Rimas Kurtinaitis, BC Khimki head coach:

— Everything didn't go as I had planned before the game, but I'd like to give Krasnyi Oktyabr its due. They played great and were fighting on equal terms during three quarters. You can feel that we have more potential, our players are more experienced and we deserved to win in the end. The game was open, and both teams scored a lot. At times, we didn't have enough discipline during plays, but I'm grateful to the guys for their effort. Oktaybr places a lot of emphasis on individual talent and today we saw how well Deane and Culpepper can play. We didn't try to stop Culpepper with everything we had, but he still exceeded his average by scoring 27 points. We're working on our own goals and play differently. I'm happy that we made 30 assists, that says we played as a team. But we made a lot of mistakes and haven't returned to our normal level of performance after the New Year. Overall, I'm happy that we won. We'll prepare for a very important Eurocup game against Maccabi Haifa.

Valentin Berestnev, BC Krasnyi Oktyabr head coach:

— We wanted to win, but at the same time we understood that planning on a victory against Khimki, especially on the road, is to some extent wishful thinking. Right now the team is playing well and competing on all fronts the way it's expected to. As Rimas said in an interview, Khimki doesn't have problems with motivation, as this game showed. Congratulations to Rimas and Khimki on the win. I wish them good luck in international competition, since we're still competitors to some extent in the domestic arena.
