EuroLeague
Valencia Basket reached a new agreement with Spanish League finals MVP Bojan Dubljevic to keep working together for three more years, until the end of the 2019-20 season, the club announced Thursday.
Dubljevic (2.05 meters, 25 years old) is set to start his sixth season with Valencia. He averaged 11.9 points and 6.8 rebounds in 20 7DAYS EuroCup games last season, taking his team to the finals and becoming the competition's all-time scorer — 1,217 points. Dubljevic also led Valencia to the Spanish League title and the Spanish Copa del Rey final last season. He won the EuroCup with Valencia in 2014 — the third title in this competition for the Spanish powerhouse. Last season, Dubljevic was chosen to the All-EuroCup first team for the first time in his career — he had made it to the All-EuroCup second team in 2012 and 2014, as well as winning the EuroCup Rising Star award twice, in 2013 and 2014. He started his career with Lovcen and also played for Buducnost Podgorica before joining Valencia. In his two seasons with Buducnost, Dubljevic led the team to back-to-back Montenegrin doubles — league and cup titles. He is also a regular member of the Montenegrin national team. Dubljevic already played in the EuroLeague, averaging 15.5 points and 4.1 rebounds in eight games in the 2014-15 season.
