The French small forward joins Real Madrid after having lifted the league and cup crowns in Germany.
Fabien Causeur (16/06/1987, Brest, France) has joined Real Madrid for the next two seasons. The left-handed small forward, who has a 1.96m frame, boasts power, is a reliable shooter and possesses plenty of offensive talent, joins the Whites at the pinnacle of his career and with strong experience, both in the Endesa League and the EuroLeague. Last year he led Brose Bamberg to a German league and cup double, with 11.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and a performance index rating of 13.6, with these statistics enough to see him scoop the MVP award at the end of the campaign.

A full French international, Causeur, who is also able to operate as a shooting guard, possess the physical ability to allows him to help out on rebounds, whilst also excelling when it comes to penetrating through the opposition. He also has excellent shooting accuracy, recording an average success rate of 60% on two-pointers last campaign. Causeur is a productive player who has no problem in netting points. He was named as the MVP of Round 12 of the EuroLeage after posting 28 points and a PIR of 35 against Anadolu Efes. In Europe's elite club competition he averaged 9.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists to give him a PIR of 11.

​Causeur plied his trade for Le Havre and Cholet, with whom he lifted a league and the French Super Cup (in 2010 and 2012 respectively) and was named MVP for the 2012 season. Next up, he moved on to Laboral Kutxa and Brose Bamberg, prior to joined to Madrid, where he will bolster one of the best offences in European basketball.
