More players, more games 9  september  2016

PBC CSKA
Our team arrived to Greece today to play the series of exhibition games – 2 in Thessaloniki and 3 in Athens.
The Olympians Milos Teodosic and Nando De Colo joined the teammates this week, so the coaches thanked and let go from the camp the young guys Mikhail Andrianov, Alexander Khomenko and specially invited Ivan Rusetsky. Vitaly Fridzon also flew with the Army Men: he still cannot participate in contact practices but he is close to return and busy with learning renewed team tactics.

Here in Thessaloniki the red-blues will meet both sides of the famous city derby. The main organizer of the tour is PAOK – the hosts are celebrating 90 years of the club’s foundation so they are happy to greet the reigning Euroleague champions. By the way CSKA already practiced on the black-and-white’s arena upon arrival.

The Muscovites will also play against Aris, then they leave to Athens to play exhibition games against AEK, Barcelona and Panathinaikos (the last one will be dedicated to Dimitris Diamantidis who retired from pro basketball this year).

The birthday men Dimitris Itoudis and Alexander Bata weren’t able to normally celebrate. Surely, they had cakes for dinner, nice presents and traditional song from the team. But celebration was short: the team had to move to one the hotel’s halls to visit the party devoted to PAOK’s jubilee. There were also some speeches and gifts but the team was in hurry again. The game is scheduled for tomorrow, so there should be some time to rest.
