Petteri Koponen named League's top Finnish player 4  may  2016

VTB United League
Khimki guard Petteri Koponen has been recognized as the 2015-16 VTB United League's Top Finnish Player.
This is the 4th year that the VTB United League has honored the top players in each country represented by League clubs. In the seven countries with one club (Latvia, Estonia, Belarus, Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Finland and Georgia), the league awards the prize. In Russia, which has nine clubs, Russian information agency TASS partners with the league to name the top Russian player.

Koponen picks up the Finnish honor for the second consecutive year.

He played in 29 regular-season games for Khimki, averaging 22.3 minutes, 11.9 points, 2.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists and an efficiency rating of 13.9.

— Of course, this is a big honor for me, — Koponen told VTB-League.com. — It's great to receive the honor two years in a row, given that the league has a team like Bisons. It's always an honor to represent your country while playing abroad. Right now I represent Finland in Russia.
