Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius and forward Arturas Jomantas agreed to keep working together until the end of the 2017-18 season, the club announced Wednesday.
Jomantas (2.00 meters, 31 years old) returned to Rytas last season, averaging 4.4 points and 2.8 rebounds in 21 Lithuanian League games. He started the 2015-16 season with Siauliai, averaging 11.3 points and 5.6 rebounds in 26 games before joining Rytas. In his first stint with the club, from 2006 to 2013, Jomantas helped Rytas win the Eurocup title in 2009, reaching the final in 2007. He also lifted consecutive Lithuanian League trophies in 2009 and 2010, as well as winning two Baltic League titles in 2007 and 2009. Jomantas has also played for several Lithuanian teams such as Mazeikiai Nafta, Pieno Zvaigzdes Pasvalys and Dzukija Alytus. He has also been a member of the Lithuanian national team. He helped Lithuanian win a gold medal at the 2005 U21 FIBA World Championship and collected three other medals at youth level — silver at the 2005 U20 European Championships and the 2003 U19 World Championships, bronze at the 2004 U20 European Championships.
