Khimki lands high-flying guard Shved 17  july  2015

Khimki Moscow Region reached an agreement with combo guard Alexey Shved to work together until the end of the 2017-18 season, the club announced Thursday.
Shved (1.98 meters, 27 years old), arrives from New York of the NBA, where he averaged 14.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 15 games last season. He started the 2014-15 season with Minnesota and also played for Houston before joining New York. Shved already played for Khimki in the 2006-07 season, averaging 1.2 points in 13 Russian League games. He also made his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut with CSKA in 2007. Shved has played for CSKA for the best part of his career, accumulating 283 points and 75 assists in 42 Euroleague career games over 6 seasons. Shved helped CSKA win the Euroleague title in 2008. He also lifted four Russian League titles and won two VTB League crowns with CSKA. Shved also played for CSKA-Trinta Moscow, CSK VVS Samara and Dynamo Moscow in Russia. He is also a member of the Russian national team and helped it win respective bronze medals at EuroBasket 2011 in Lithuania and the 2012 Olympic Games in London, England.
