Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir announced extension of contract with forward Baris Hersek for another year. Hersek (2.07 meters, 26 years old) arrived to the club last summer. Coming off the bench in the Eurocup Regular Season, Hersek averaged posted 5.9 points and 4.3 rebounds, but in the Last 32 he assumed a role of a starter and increased his contribution to 9.8 points while grabbing 4.0 rebounds per game. Hersek has three Euroleague seasons under his belt, two with Anadolu Efes and one with Besiktas Integral Forex. During his career he also played for Darussafaku, Banvit and Antalya in his native Turkey.
