The start of the Last 32 saw an exceptional situation regarding the weekly MVP race. Omar Thomas of Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari was the player from a winning team with the best performance this week thanks to his index rating of 30. However, up to three players tied for the highest index rating of the week at 32, but all of them were on losing teams, therefore not eligible for the accolade: Vladimir Golubovic of Aykon TED ankara Kolejliler, Adrian Uter of FoxTown Cantu and Errick McCollum of Panionios Athens.
The MVP, Thomas, led his team with 20 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals plus 6 drawn fouls for a 103-67 win over TED Ankara. Bojan Dubljevic of Valencia Basket Club was the next in line with an index rating of 29 with 18 points, 12 rebounds and 8 drawn fouls.

Individual highs: Nine players with double digits in rebounds

McCollum of Panionios was, in fact, the best scorer of the opening week of the Last 32 with his 31 points against Nizhny Novgorod. Sergii Gladyr of JSF Nanterre followed him with 30. This week also saw as many as nine players grabbing 10 rebounds or more! At the top of the list was James Augustine of Khimki Moscow Region with his 15 boards, followed by the 13 of Esteban Batista of Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir. Two players, Omar Cook of Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius and Marques Green of Dinamo Sassari tied at the top of the assists ranking this week with 10 apiece. On the defensive end, no player hadm ore than 3 steals this week, and more than 10 players reached that figure, so it's a collective success. Regarding blocked shots, two giants stepped up and stopped 4 shots each: Othello Hunter of Montepaschi Siena and Darjus Lavrinovic of Budivelnik Kiev.
