Partizan beats Khimky for the first Euroleague win this season 28  october  2010

Partizan celebrated 72-68 home win against Khimky joining them with 1-1 record. Australian Nathan Jawai (207-C-86, college: Midland CC) (207-C-86, college: Midland CC) (8 rebs) shined for the hosts with 15 points and 0liver Lafayette (188-G-84, college: Houston) added one less. Dusan Kecman (197-F-77, agency: Beo Basket) helped the Serbian powerhouse with 12 points. In Khimky, Keith Langford (193-G/F-83, college: Kansas) delivered 19 pts. Zoran Planinic (199-G-82) and Kresimir Loncar (210-F-83) (9 rebs) added 16 and 13 points respectively.
First quarter was pretty leveled as neither of teams was able to make a bigger lead. Khimky was up by four once, but Partizan responded with 8-2 run closing the first quarter with 21-19 lead. In the next ten minutes teams exchanged in lead few times. Thanks to stop-and-pop jumper by Zoran Planinic, Khimky was 36-37 up at the halftime. After the breather, visitors jumped to 36-42 but Partizan closed the gap to 44-46 few moments later. In the finish of Q3 Aleksey Savrasenko beat the buzzer with a put-back layup for a 49-53 Khimki edge after 30 minutes. Partizan made 55-53 turn at the beginning of the last quarter and entered to last three minutes with 63-60. 0liver Lafayette and Dusan Kecman shined in the finish and thanks to their baskets Partizan grabbed 70-62 with 56 seconds to go. Khimky closed this game with 1-6 run, but was not able to avoid first loss of the season.
In the next round, Partizan will hot Maccabi Electra. Khimky waits Caja Laboral.
