PRE-GAME QUOTES

Dusko Ivanovic, BC Khimki head coach:

“In the last Spanish League game, Fuenlabrada lost with a big difference but this team has great character. They lost to Lietuvos Rytas by 17 points but in the next one, they crushed ALBA Berlin with a 25 lead. I mean every game is different. Fuenlabrada plays very fast. They have excellent shooters and play open the court perfectly. Of course, their leader is Marko Popovic who can be very dangerous if he has a good day. They also play very physical basketball. They are dangerous on the fast breaks and the situations one on one”.

E.J. Rowland, BC Khimki guard:

“We are at home now and it’s an important point. The game will be important for both teams but we’ll try to put ourselves closer to the next round. I’ve heard they had a bad Spanish League game that sounds crazy. Everybody needs to start focused in his mind. It should be exciting. Okay, we lost in Spain but it was the very one situation when watching video hadn’t quite done justice. We saw their style of play and it was a good experience for us. They have a nice balance of defending and offensive players. They are a disciplined team. Popovic has a great game against us. He is very experienced player and won the EuroCup with Khimki. I played against him in national teams. If you let guys like him get going early it will be a long night”.
