PRE-GAME QUOTES

Rimas Kurtinaitis, BC Khimki head coach:

“Brose Baskets is playing well; they are fighting every game, no matter their opponent. They have good energy and aggressive defense as well as disciplined offense. It’s a good team with good players. Coach Trinchieri has imparted discipline to his players. He demands a proper order from the team. They don’t have a clear leader but play really well as a team. Nonetheless, I may point out Strelnieks, Miller, Radosevic and one of the most vivid players of this half-season in Melli. They are a tough team that is in a good shape right now. Their best shooters have impressive numbers in three-point percentage, more than 40 percent. They are playing very well at spacing and scoring good shots”.

James Augustine, BC Khimki forward:

“We scored a very important win last week over Laboral Kutxa and now face Brose Baskets that has been playing really well so far. They beat Olympiacos in Athens that says a thing or two about their game. We have to play with our energy as we do, keep improving every day and getting better. They play hard with pressure and we have to step up for playing hard in defense and run in the offense well. We have to do just the same, I mean play with energy, rebound the ball and not to lose it. It will be a tough game for us but good thing is we are at home. Hopefully, we’ll be able to come out with a win”.
