Tyrese Rice signed with BC Khimki30 june 2014

2013/2014 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four MVP, Israeli League, Israeli State Cup and Israeli League Cup winner with Maccabi Tel Aviv Tyrese Rice signed a three-year deal with BC Khimki.

Pavel Astakhov, BC Khimki General manager:

– We are very glad to see Tyrese in BC Khimki. European powerhouses have taken note of him, but we managed to win the competition with the leading clubs of Europe. Everyone remembers Rice's performance in the Euroleague Final Four, where he became one of the heroes of the semifinal and final games particularly, and eventually got a deserved award as the most valuable player. Hopefully in our club he will realize his potential at maximum.

Rimas Kurtinaitis, BC Khimki head coach:

– Our club has set serious goals and to achieve it we must have strong players. One of these players is Tyrese Rice. Last season he became the champion of Israel, the winner of National Cup and the Euroleague, and also was named the most valuable player of the Final Four, but we decided to sign with him not because of these awards. He is a fast player who performs well in defense, he provides the team with necessary energy and aggression. Hopefully, with Rice we will be able to perform much better than last year.
