The long-awaited meeting took place!10 october 2010

On Sunday, in the basketball center of the Moscow Region a traditional annual meeting of our team with its fans was held. Devoted fans gladly welcomed the newcomers of the yellow-blue squad, and communicated with all the players. Tired but happy the participants of the event went home in good mood.

This year the meeting of fans with BC Khimki players was held not quite by usual scenario – an open training session preceded a communication: our supporters had the opportunity to watch over the components on which the yellow-blue work most diligently.

After the end of the training an Italian coach of BC Khimki Sergio Scariolo took the floor. He greeted the fans and stressed that their support is one of the key factors in team’s winning.

Sergio Scariolo:

– I am pleased to welcome everyone who has come today to this hall. Your support is very important, it helps us win. I hope you are satisfied with the results that we have already demonstrated in the qualifying rounds of Euroleague. We play for you!
After the words of the head coach the ceremony of club newcomers’ presentation started. The stands gave all of them a standing ovation. Benjamin Eze, Kresimir Loncar, Aleksey Savrasenko, Vadim Panin, Sergey Monya, Thomas Kelati and Zoran Planinic in turn got a round of applause.

The fans presented jerseys to our players, and in response Aleksey Samarin got from the hands of Vitaly Fridzon the jersey with his name and number "1" – in such a way our captain thanked Aleksey, because last season he was the only one who made the "golden exit" – he managed to visit all the matches of BC Khimki (including all the games on the road). He was also awarded the “gold season ticket” for the season 2010/2011 and photographed with the whole team!
Then the leaders of the club and the basketball players received warm wishes and answered the questions of fans. The debutants spoke about their first impressions in a new team.

At the end of the meeting each of the fans got autographs from their favorite players and cherished photos in memory of the event.
