POST-GAME

Dusko Ivanovic, BC Khimki head coach:

“Very tough game for us. We realize that all our next games won’t be easy. Also we know that if we want to win, we have to play really good defense. Tonight we have done it. I can’t but say about Shved’s play. He wanted to play so much and before the game had told me about his desire. I would like to point out Nobel Boungou-Colo either; bit the main reason of this win is our defense. In the end Loko started to play faster and scored two triples. We have shown patience that was also an important factor for this success”.

Nobel Boungou-Colo, BC Khimki forward:

“It was an important game. We lost first game in the VTB League and had to be better today. The team started well. I had some fast breaks, got some points easily and fast. It was a good start for me. It’s a good win and a great performance for our team. I’m happy about it. Hopefully I can use this game to do better performance for the team. Loko is a good team and we knew they could have made a comeback. They made good runs; the game was really tied. At the end we put the control of the game”.
