Zalgiris Kaunas bolstered its frontcourt by inking power forward Aaron White to a one-year deal, with an option to keep him until the end of the 2018-19 season.
White (2.06 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Zenit St. Petersburg, where he averaged 8.7 points and 5.2 rebounds in 16 7DAYS EuroCup games this season. He boosted his numbers up to 9.3 points and 6.6 rebounds in 30 VTB League games, helping Zenit reach the semifinals.

He joined Zenit from Telekom Baskets Bonn, where he averaged 12.3 points on 61.5% two-point shooting and 6.3 rebounds in 10 7DAYS EuroCup games in the 2015-16 season, his first as a professional basketball player.

White spent four seasons playing for the University of Iowa, for whom he averaged 16.4 points and 7.3 rebounds in the 2014-15 season, after which he was named to the All-Big Ten first team. White left Iowa as the school’s all-time leader in free throws made (618), ranked second in scoring (1,859) and third in rebounding (901).

He also played for Team USA at the 2013 World University Games in Kazan, Russia.

White is set to make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut with Zalgiris next season.
