Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv reached an agreement with Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade to bring in power forward Jonah Bolden, who signed a three-year contract with the Israeli powerhouse on Friday.
Bolden (2.08 meters, 21 years old) played for FMP Belgrade of Serbia this season, averaging 12.9 points and 7.2 rebounds while hitting 41.9% of his three-pointers, in the Adriatic League. He was awarded the league's "top prospect" honor, following Dario Saric, Nikola Jokic and Ante Zizic before him. In the Serbian League, his numbers were 12.1 points and 6.6 rebounds. Bolden had previously played one season with UCLA of the NCAA and has been an under-19 national team member for his native Australia. "Jonah is a very talented young player with great potential, an athletic forward who knows how to shoot the ball and a great guy who likes to work hard, Maccabi head coach Neven Spahija said. "We believe he will develop into a great player."
