Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv signed a dynamic scorer in point guard Pierre Jackson, who spent the previous season divided between Cedevita Zagreb, Dallas in the NBA and Texas in the D-League.
He signed a one-year deal with an option for another season. Jackson (1.80 meters, 25 years old) only played two 7DAYS EuroCup games for Cedevita, but was the MVP for Round 5 of the Regular Season after torching Nizhny Novgorod for 38 points on 6-of-8 three-point shooting, 5 assists and a performance index rating of 37 in a 92-77 victory. He collected 29 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists in his EuroCup debut two weeks earlier against MZT Skopje Aerodrom. He was seventh in the D-League in scoring with 22.5 points and fifth with 7.7 assists per game for Texas. Jackson also scored 4.4 points per game in eight appearances with Dallas. Maccabi will present Jackson with his second EuroLeague experience after he suited up for Fenerbahce Istanbul for six games during the 2013-14 campaign. Jackson, who has also played for Idaho of the D-League, was selected to the D-League All-Star Game in both 2014 and 2017.
