Unics Kazan added versatility to its roster by inking small forward Trent Lockett to a one-year deal, with an option to extend it for another season, on Sunday.
Lockett (1.96 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Real Betis Energia Plus, where he averaged 11.3 points and 5.3 rebounds in 31 Spanish League games last season. He started his career with Reno of the D-League and also played for Basketball Loewen Braunschweig of Germany and Dolomiti Energia Trento of Italy before joining Betis. Lockett averaged 11.2 points and 3.5 rebounds in 22 7DAYS EuroCup games in the 2015-16 season, helping Trento reach the semifinals.
