Khimki pulls out road win in Ulm 19  january  2017

Khimki Moscow Region got back to its winning ways by edging ratiopharm Ulm on the road 90-95 on Wednesday night.
Khimki improved to 2-1 record in Group F, while Ulm remains winless with a 0-3 record. In a game that featured several big runs, Ulm used a 14-2 fourth-quarter charge to go in front, but Khimki's 2-13 dash turned the visitors' 5-point deficit into an 83-89 lead with 60 seconds to go. Alexey Shved netted 28 points on 6-of-15 three-point shooting to lead the winners. E.J. Rowland scored 11 of his 16 points in the last four minutes of the game, Sergey Monia added 11 points and Marko Todorovic had 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in victory. Raymar Morgan had 10 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter for Ulm. DeSean Butler netted 20, and Taylor Braun had 15 in the losing effort.

Threes from Shved and Monia helped Khimki build 2-10 lead early on, before another three from Shved and baskets from Dmitry Sokolov fueled a 4-12 run, giving Khimki a 15-27 advantage after 10 minutes. But in the second quarter Butler got it going for the hosts, scoring 14 points in a span of less than three minutes, cutting the deficit to 31-33. Khimki remained in front until back-to-back threes from Braydon Hobbs and Karsten Tadda gave the hosts a 49-48 halftime lead. In the third quarter, Shved was the main protagonist as Khimki went up again 54-63, but Braun scored 8 points the rest of the third quarter, helping cut it to 65-68 going into the fourth. Khimki increased the lead to 7 points, but Ulm rallied once again, this time putting together a run in which Morgan scored 8 points and Butler hit a pair of threes to give Ulm an 81-76 advantage midway through the fourth quarter. However Shved hit his sixth three to help tie it at 83-83. That's when Rowland stepped up by making a pair of baskets and then in a tandem with Todorovic forcing a turnover and racing for an easy dunk to make it 83-89 entering the final minute. With 40 seconds to go, Hummel scored a reverse layup-plus-foul to sealing the outcome.
