Alan Makiev joined CSKA 14  august  2017

Center Alan Makiev (26 y.o., 210 cm) signed 1-year contract with our club.
The native of Ardon (Republic of Northern Ossetia-Alaniya) grew up as a player in South of Russia – besides his city he studied, practiced and played in Saratov, Volgograd and Krasnodar. Alan started to play professionally for Avtodor in 2011 and spent most part of his career there. He also played for Russian Superleague teams Rodniki, Irkut and Ryazan.

Makiev took part in 17 VTB United League games for Avtodor last season (4.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, 0.5 assists in 15.6 minutes) as well as in 13 FIBA Europe Champions League games (3.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, 0.5 assists in 11.6 minutes).

After Ivan Lazarev left we wanted to replace him with another center. This will be a different level for Alan but we are looking for his contribution. He makes a step up in means of basketball and organization he plays for, and at the same time receives great chance to grow up professionally.
