Cedevita Zagreb continued a revamp of its backcourt for the upcoming season with the addition of a swingman Kevin Murphy, who signed a one-year deal, club announced on Saturday.
Murphy (1.98 meters, 27 years old) has last played with a Chinese club Guangxi, where he posted 17.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists per night earlier this year. Murphy has played most of last season with Grand Rapids in the Development League, and averaged 23 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 44 games. Murphy made his professional debut with Utah in the NBA, and in the past five seasons went on to play with Reno, Idaho and Grand Rapids of the D-League, Zhejiang Guangsha in China, Hitachi Sunrockers Tokyo in Japan, as well as a half a season with Strasbourg in France during 2013-14 campaign. That's when he made five Turkish Airlines EuroLeague appearances, posting 5.8 points and 2 rebounds per contest. Murphy is now set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut.
