Lokomotiv signs Broekhoff away from Besiktas 8  september  2015

Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar penned forward Ryan Broekhoff to a multi-year deal over the weekend. The Australian arrives from Besiktas JK Istanbul, where he spent the past two seasons. Broekhoff (2.01 meters, 25 years old) averaged 10.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 16 Eurocup games last season. Those numbers jumped to 11.5 points and 6.2 boards per game in the Turkish League. Before joining Besiktas, Broekhoff played four seasons of college basketball at Valparaiso University and was the 2012 Horizon League Player of the Year. He is a product of the Australian Institute of Sport and has represented the Australian national team at both the junior and senior levels, including most recently at the 2015 FIBA Oceania Championship.
