Ventspils brings back Eurocup legend Chatman 27  august  2014

Latvian League champion BK Ventspils added firepower to its backcourt by arranging the return of scoring guard Mire Chatman on a one-year deal, the club announced on Wednesday.
Chatman (1.87 meters, 35 years old), who missed all of last season, is the Eurocup’s all-time leader with index rating of 1,274, as well as 156 steals. He is also third in career scoring with 1,057 points, and fourth with 246 assists. Chatman also won the ULEB Cup with Dynamo Moscow in 2006. He started his professional career more than a decade ago with Ventspils, and after making his Eurocup debut with the club in 2003, he went on to play 7 seasons in the competition, totaling 65 games in which he averaged 16.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.4 steals. Some of his Eurocup's career-highs include 43 points and index 53 for Besiktas JK Istanbul in 2010-11 season, 12 rebounds and also had 7 steals in 2005-06 season with Dynamo Moscow, and dished 12 assists in 2008-09 season with Le Havre. During his career he also played for Pau-Orthez of France, Virtus Rome of Italy , Zenit St. Petersburg (former Triumph Lyubertsy) and Unics Kazan of Russia and Pinar Karsiyaka of Turkey.
