The Euroleague Appeals Judge on Friday issued decisions on two appeals made by Panathinaikos Athens of earlier decisions by the competition's independent disciplinary judge concerning incidents at the team’s home court during the 2012-13 season. The appeals judge partially accepted one appeal, reducing the sanction of home games to be played without fans by Panathinaikos, and dismissed the other appeal.
In partially accepting the first appeal, the judge concurred with Panathinaikos that its penalty for incidents at its home games during the playoffs was disproportionate, lowering the original sanction from three home games without fans to one. The judge upheld the fine of €40,000 that accompanied the original punishment and underlined that "the occurrence of new incidents in the next two seasons" would justify much harsher sanctions.

In the other case, the judge dismissed the appeal by Panathinaikos of a €9,000 fine for incidents that occurred during the team's last Top 16 home game on Thursday, April 4. The infractions concerned aggression by fans directed at visiting team CSKA Moscow at OAKA arena.

Apart from those appealed judgments, Panathinaikos received sanctions in two more disciplinary cases involving incidents during the playoffs.
