The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Chalon/Saor as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Chalon/Saor defeated 5th ranked Paris-Levallois at home 91-79. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 25-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game.

It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 18-point difference suggests that Entente Orleans 45 is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. The game in Nanterre was also quite interesting. Second ranked Le Mans (7-2) played at the court of 8th ranked JSF Nanterre (4-5). Le Mans managed to secure a 6-point victory 80-74 on Saturday. Cam Long stepped up and scored 20 points for the winners. The best for the losing side was Christophe Massie with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Le Mans keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Chalon. We should mention about the upset which took place in Poitiers, where 4th placed ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (5-4) lost to twelfth ranked Poitiers (4-5) in a road game 72-78. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-11. But ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket won second period 22-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
