Week 1 MVP: Tony Parker, Asvel Basket 16  november  2011

A Eurocup debutante managed to soar over all other players in the opening week as Asvel Basket superstar Tony Parker racked up a performance index rating of 40 to become Week 1 MVP.
Parker was the main force behind Asvel's first home win over Valencia Basket by scoring 34 points behind 8 of 15 two-point shots, 3 of 4 threes, 9 of 10 free throws, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Parker was the catalyst of a collective effort that allowed his team to grab a first win this season. Following Parker in the list of top performances this opening week, Cholet Basket's Fabien Causeur was second with a close performance index rating of 36. Lokomotiv Kuban's Jeremiah Massey was third in line with his 31 index performace. Completing the top 5 this week were Patrick Beverley of Spartak St. Petersburg (27) and then a tie for fith place with respective 26's for KRKA Novo Mesto's Jerome Jordan and BC Azovmash's Oleksiy Pecherov.

Individual highs: Viacheslav Kravtsov, 5 blocks

Parker was also this week's best scorer with his 34 points to lead Asvel Basket. Michael Lee of BC Donetsk and Massey led the rebounds column with 13 apiece while BC Khimki's Zoran Planinic dished 8 assists in his team's win to be the best passer of the week. Also two players, Mindaugas Katelynas of Lietuvos Rytas and Sergio de Randamie of GasTerra Flames had 5 steals apiece while Viacheslav Kravtsov of BC Donetsk soared with 5 blocks.
