Timofey Mozgov (216-C-86) is a new player of Denver Nuggets. The Russian big guy was a part of a blockbuster deal, whose central figure was Carmelo Anthony.
The Knicks were trying to get Anthony since the beginning of the season and yesterday they finally made it. Here is the summary. The Nuggets traded Melo to the New York Knicks last night. Denver gets Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, the Knicks 2014 first-round draft pick, the Warriors' 2012 second-round pick, the Warriors' 2013 second-round pick and $3 million in cash. Anthony will go to New York, along with Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman.
Timofey Mozgov joined the Knicks last summer from Khimky. He appeared 34 times this season in NBA averaging 4 points and 3.1 rebounds. His best game came against Detroit Pistons, when Mozgov had double-double of 23 points and 14 rebounds. Mozgov played for Khimky since 2006. Last summer, he exploded at the World Championship in Turkey. For 9 games with Team Russia he had 13 ppg and 4.4 rpg.
