Final Eight: BC Khimki star: Jorge Garbajosa 25  march  2009

Eurocup
Few players of his generation can claim so much success on the world basketball stage as Jorge Garbajosa of BC Khimki Moscow Region.
At age 31, Garbajosa is a reigning world champion who has also won silver medals at the last Olympic Games and European championships with the Spanish national team. On a club level, he has been equally successful, capturing domestic league titles three times in two countries, Italy and Spain, while lifting even more national cups. Interestingly, Garbajosa began his trophy collection with his only European title to date, the 1996 Saporta Cup with Tau Ceramica. He also won a Spanish Cup with Tau before moving to Benetton Treviso to put his hands around pairs of Italian League and Italian Cup trophies. He would return to Spain to win league and cup titles with Unicaja, too. Along the way, Garbajosa's personal accolades, highlighted by making the 2003 and 2006 All-Euroleague teams, matched those of his teams. He reached the Euroleague Final Four twice with Benetton, in 2002 and 2003, and led Unicaja to its first such appearance in 2007. After three seasons abroad, Garbajosa's ambition and leadership qualities remain second to none as he marches Khimki into Turin with only victory in mind.
