PRE-GAME QUOTES

Rimas Kurtinaitis, BC Khimki head coach:

"We have to start the Top 16 with the game against CSKA Moscow. It doesn't make a big different if out first game would be against CSKA, Real Madrid, FC Barcelona or Olympiacos. We are preparing and will see what we have. The game with CSKA will not be a special one — we know how CSKA plays on offense and defense and are making our adjustments for this game. Last year, we played against CSKA in the VTB League finals and everyone knows each other well. The games between Khimki and CSKA are always interesting, not only for fans, but for players, too".

Petteri Koponen, BC Khimki guard:

"We had a couple-of-days break after our last game in Tallinn and came in to practice now. It is a normal game, but of course it is always nice to play against CSKA. It’s a Moscow derby and many people like these games. It is one of the biggest games for us during the season, whether it is in VTB League or in the Euroleague. CSKA is a great team but we will try to start this Top 16 the right way — let’s see how the game works. Everybody tries to stop Milos Teodosic and Nando De Colo, as they are great players, but CSKA has a good roster all around. Of course, it is gonna be hard to stop them but we will try to do it. Now we are preparing our tactics in upcoming practices and we have to see what our coaches prepared for us. We will try to execute our game plan and stop them. It will not be easy but we will try our best to fight for the win".
