Jorge Garbajosa became the BC Khimki player24 july 2008

BC Khimki became the author of one more selection success. Right after Carlos Delfino, BC Khimki signed a contract with one of the best “big” player of Europe – Spaniard Jorge Garbajosa.

— The acquisition of this player is one more great success of our team. – said the General Director of BC Khimki Victor Bychkov. – The negotiations were hard but concluded with the beneficial effect. We signed 2 year contract.

Garbajosa had many offers from great European and NBA teams. But we can with great pleasure establish the fact that Jorge is the player of BC Khimki. He is a very experienced master.

Now Jorge is in a roster of National team of Spain prepares for the Olympic Games. Last year he was injured, but now he got rehabilitated completely as medical examination showed. After Olympic Games he will join our team.

We are sure that with Garbajosa our club will stronger. Last week was very important for us. Our selection campaign is almost completed. And we are satisfied with the results.
