DYBL — Semifinals EEIJRO Trinta26 february 2007

The last DYBL stage games took place in EEIJRO Trinta. In these last days, Khimki’s standings determine whether they will continue on to battle for the gold. To clinch this chance, the team had to win, with no room for defeat, at least one of the games.


23.02 Samara vs. Khimki: 53-58 (13-18, 9-8, 14-19, 17-13)
Novikov: 19, Loginov:11, Zaitsev: 11.

24.02 Khimki vs. CSKA Trinta: 56-58 (18-20, 19-14, 10-8, 9-16)
Karpeko: 13, Loginov: 12, Babunashvili: 11, Novikov: 10, Mikulitis: 9.

In the last match Khimki practically lead the entire game, however, losing in the final quarter, letting a mid-court offensive get by them, with one second to the siren’s blow. They were unable to make an inside shot. The ball circled the rim and dropped off like a brick.

Our team completed its objective, the boys continue on to the battle for the medals. In the next stage the opponents to beat are: Metallurg, UNICS, and Enisey.
